Williams began his art education by studying painting with Virginia Satory and sculpting with Shirley Jeckering -- both of Dayton, Ohio.
Williams worked for over 30 years as a sign painter as well as serving the City of Dayton as a firefighter.

| Now "retired" he concentrates full-time on his painting and sculpting. He lives in the Caesar's Creek area of Waynesville where he gathers much inspiration. |

Williams is an active supporter of the arts in his community. He is an active member and past president of the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors. He belongs to the Miamisburg Art Guild and the the Waynesville Arts Council. He has also served on the board of the Dayton Art Expo. |

He maintains contact with other nationally known artists by participating in workshops featuring such artists as Robert Bateman. Clyde Aspvig, Nita Engle, Veryl Goodnight, John Seery-Lester, Jack Hines, and Jessica Zemsky.
